On December 4, the 2020 ECNU Principals Forum on Basic Education was held in China Future (Chongqing) School Affiliated to ECNU. Nearly 100 educational experts and principals of elite schools were present for discussion and exchange of views on hot issues such as the integration of five educational domains and the educational evaluation reform. At the forum, the integrated alliance of physical education, aesthetic education, labour education, and education at all stages initiated by ECNU was officially established.
The alliance was co-launched by ECNU and its six affiliated schools and kindergartens. ECNU vice president Dai Liyi pointed out that the alliance will commit itself to the effective integration of education at different stages, and that ECNU will continue to work for the development of basic education.
Mei Bing, University Council Chairwoman of ECNU, expressed that the schools affiliated to ECNU are not only an important base for ECNU’s research and practice of basic education, but also a cradle for reform and innovation of basic education in China. ECNU will strive for the continuous development of its affiliated schools and create a number of top basic education schools in China with worldwide influence while building itself into a first-rate university.
