2020 is coming to an end. Living through this year of unprecedented change, ECNUers adjusted their lives to uncertainty, remained enthusiastic about the future, and helped each other in a time of need.
As this year comes to a close, let’s take some time to reflect on what we have gone through before we enter 2021.
January
When all the Chinese people were celebrating the lunar Chinese New Year, the sudden COVID-19 outbreak stranded ECNUers having the winter break either at home or on campus.
February
ECNUers started the first class of spring semester online.
March & April
ECNUers added fun to pandemic fight. To keep fit and enjoy life, many of them exercised in their living rooms or improved their cooking skills in the family kitchen.
May
The quiet campus once again came to life, as some of the students returned to campus.
June
This year's graduates had an unforgettable commencement ceremony. ECNUers completed their studies in a time of great disruption.
July & August
Many ECNUers spent their summer vacation doing social practices or teaching in remote regions in China.
September
Newly admitted students started a new chapter of their lives and were greeted with a grand opening ceremony at ECNU.
October
ECNU’s 69th anniversary was celebrated by all ECNUers and alumni across the globe.
November
The International Cultural Festival brought together students from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
December
Several New Year’s countdown concerts were held to ring in the year of 2021.
Despite all the challenges and obstacles of 2020, ECNUers have kept moving on with their dreams. Wish all ECNUers happiness and sucess in 2021!
