President Qian Xuhong met the delegation led by James Heller
Qian Xuhong extended his welcome to the delegation and introduced the uninterrupted cooperation between ECNU and American universities during the Covid-19 pandemic. ECNU has continued to receive Chinese students from partner universities from the U.S., and from member universities of the partner institutions, who are unable to study in the United States due to the pandemic, making new contributions to Sino-US educational exchanges.
Qian Xuhong expected that Chinese and American universities will share their research foundations, concepts, and achievements based on their disciplinary advantages and provide wisdom for social stability and development.
James Heller expressed his appreciation of ECNU for accepting Chinese students from American universities during the pandemic. He hoped that mutual trust and cooperation between China and the U.S will be enhanced through various exchange programs. He was also deeply impressed by the achievements made by NYU Shanghai, a Sino-US cooperative education project.
