Zhang Jing, born in Inner-Mongolia in October, 1957, is at present professor in ECNU. Being one of the leading scholars in Chemical Oceanography and Marine Biogeochemistry, he is among one of the earliest Distinguished Professors in the “Changjiang Scholars Program” of Ministry of Education (MOE) and has won the Outstanding Youth Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is also praised as one of “the young and middle-aged experts of great contributions to the country”, the country’s “New Century Talents Project” and “Leading Talents” of Shanghai.

Achievements

He has compiled 7 textbooks and published about 300 papers among which about 100 are embodied by Science Citation Index (SCI) and are cited over 700 times. He has done great contributions to the exchange and combination with the world’s most upstanding research in his field.
