Based on the characteristics of geographic research in China, Frontiers of Earth Science takes the advantage of ECNU’s discipline superiority and influence at home and abroad in geographic research and has developed a special journal management mode of combining international research focus with characteristic research in China. As its influence keeps increasing, the journal was indexed by Chinese science and technology periodical statistical sources of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC) and Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010 and 2011 respectively. In 2012, the journal was indexed by SCI.
