THE finale of the 12th ECNU Young Teachers Teaching Contest took place in the Teachers Teaching Development Center at Minhang campus on June 13.

The contest aims to improve teaching skills of ECNU young teachers.
The judge panel consisted of members from ECNU and elsewhere: Shanghai Jiaotong University Prof. Lin Zhixin, Yuan Zhenguo, head of ECNU’s Faculty and Education, and Zhen Yinda, head of the Undergraduate Teaching Supervision Team.

After the competition ECNU top leader Tong Shijun, exchanged his views with the competitors whom were eager to hear about their progress. ECNU president Qian Xuhong, meanwhile, tuned in to the finale via live webcast.
The contestants were required to demonstrate their teaching plans, including an emphasis on its overall barriers, methodology, implementations and retrospections before answering questions from the panel.

Prof. Yuan Zhenguo and Prof. Lin Zhixin gave their comments about the young teachers - whom yielded significant results - acclaiming their demonstrations for advanced concepts, and innovative teaching through content, methods, and application.
The teaching contest, launched on March 7, aimed to improve teaching skills and quality for ECNUers striving to become young teachers. Eligible participants must be under 40, possess at least three years' undergraduate teaching experience, and have earned a good reputation in their professional careers. 18 contestants entered the finale after preliminaries.
