ON the morning of Sep. 15th, the 2018 Asia Europe Business School (AEBS) opening ceremony was held at the conference hall in Zizhu International Education Park.
There are currently 220 students studying at AEBS, 65 of which take up one-third of the total of students from 18 countries all over the world. This marks a new beginning of Asia Europe Business School.
ECNU Vice President and member of the University Council Wang Rongming encouraged everyone with an old Chinese saying “A fall into a pit, a gain in your wit”. He then re-affirmed the core values proposed by the executive chairman of the University Council Tong Shijun:
In his speech on the initial foundation of AEBS, Vice Dean of Emlyon Business School Tugrul Atamer recalled crucial developments made in the last three years. For instance, there had only been a double-degree undergraduate program in business administration at first, but now there is a double-degree master's program in marketing and international business. This demonstrates AEBS’s ambition and its expansive blueprint for the future.
General Manager of French Chamber of Finance and Industry in China(FCFIC)Caroline Penard introduced FCFIC and presented more about the company's sustained cooperation with AEBS to the students in attendance. She also encouraged French students studying in China to grasp onto the vast opportunities in today’s China - a fast-developing and economically strengthened country of East Asia.
