ECNU and Cisco Systems Inc. announced the establishment of the ECNU-Cisco Joint Research Lab of Network Innovative Technology at the Zhongbei campus on December 18.
In attendance at the ceremony was ECNU vice president Zhou Aoying, Cisco Systems China vice presidents Zhu Lixin and Hou Shengli and officials from ECNU’s Information Technology Services Center, Data Science Institute, Transformation Science and Technology Institute, and Cisco Systems (China) Research & Development.
Cisco System Inc. has carried out in-depth cooperation with ECNU for an extended amount of years as a world-famous network solution provider.
The new lab will make full use of the advantages for all parties involved, propel research collaboration between industry and education, strengthen ECNU’s informatization construction and assist with the implementation of the national informatization strategy.
ECNU and Cisco plan to expand cooperation into a wide range of issues, such as big data talent training, Internet of Things and cloud computing.
After the ceremony, Miao Kaixiang, chief technology officer of Cisco Systems (China) Research & Development, gave a lecture “Big Data Industrial Trend Report”.
In line with ECNU-Cisco past initiatives in technological development and network solutions, the ECNU-Cisco Joint Research Lab of Network Innovative Technology will serve as a continuous form of in-depth cooperation for both parties in the area of advanced technologies and research.
