On November 15, the International Symposium on Reform and Innovation of Art Curriculum in Asian Schools was convened at ECNU. This event was co-sponsored by ECNU and the International Society for Education through Art (InSEA), supported by the Education Development Foundation of ECNU and undertaken by the College of Fine Arts of ECNU, the Art Education Research Center of ECNU and the Research Alliance for Art Education of the Yangtze River Delta.
It is the first time that the symposium has been convened by InSEA in China. It provides a place for dialogue and an inquiry-based platform for art (visual art) education scholars, art teachers in schools at all levels and related scholars and individuals worldwide to discuss and reflect on the development of the future-oriented international art education in the AI era from the perspective of aesthetic education.

The academic forum of this conference was presided over by Prof. Qian Chuxi, Dean of the Department of Art Education, College of Fine Arts. Scholars attending the conference offline and online have shared innovative concepts and practical achievements in art education in Asia and other parts of the world to promote the development of Asian and global art (visual art) education. This conference included 2 keynote reports, 4 keynote speeches and 4 interactive sessions.
