“Mobile”Youth Artists Sixth Invitational Exhibition soon to open

On December 1, “Mobile”2020 Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) Young Artists 6th Invitational Exhibition, curated by Prof. Wang Yuan from School of Fine Arts, ECNU, is about to open at the Baopu Art Museum. At this exhibition more than 80 artistic works will be on display, including oil paintings, ink paintings, lacquer paintings, sculptures, images, and installations from young teachers in various universities and professional artists living in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.

According to Wang Yuan, this exhibition is based on the experience of the previous five exhibitions. Following the pioneering spirit of “Shanghai style painting”, it will continue to highlight the unique theme of “mobile” and showcase the pioneering spirit, innovative awareness, and international vision of young artists.

He said that this exhibition has, for the first time, extended beyond Shanghai to cover the whole Yangtze River Delta region, with a view to promoting the innovative development of the city of Shanghai and artistic exchanges in the Yangtze River Delta.

The young artists invited this time were recommended by an expert panel consisting of more than 20 professors from major universities in Shanghai and other parts of the Yangtze River Delta, in an effort to include more images, installations and multimedia works. Their endeavors in art not only demonstrate the creativity of theyoung artists, but also reflect different perceptions of the world by young people living in cities.
