Greetings to ECNUers at Cold Dew

The traditional Chinese calendar divides a year into 24 solar terms. Hanlu is the 17th solar term, which falls on October 8 this year.

Hanlu, also known as Cold Dew, gets its name from the dew which is about to become frost. Compared with the last solar term, Autumn Equinox, Hanlu marks a significant drop of temperature across China. During this time, the dew appears more frequently and is almost condensed into the form of frost due to the cold weather.

On Oct 16, ECNU is going to celebrate its 70th anniversary with various activities, both online and offline. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are all welcome to join in the celebration.

Focus Media, an alumni company of ECNU, plays its part in the celebration, airing the university’s 70th birthday on 360,000 screens in 76 cities across China.
