Greetings to ECNUers at Summer Solstice

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. The Summer Solstice, or Xiazhi in Chinese, is the 10th solar term and falls on June 21 this year.

The Summer Solstice begins when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 90 degrees. This is also when the Northern Hemisphere sees the longest day and the shortest night of the year.

To all the graduates who are leaving ECNU this summer, no matter where you are, we wish you all the best for a bright future!
