On May 12, ECNU held a meeting to mobilize re-election for campus administrative organs. Mei Bing, Chair of ECNU University Council, gave a speech on the highlights of the change. Zhu Min, Vice Chair of ECNU University Council, presided over the meeting. All the office staff and medium-level full-time officials from the faculties, departments and relevant institutes were present at the meeting.
The campus re-election is a crucial part of ECNU’s work in 2021. Zhu Min, on behalf of ECNU University Council, made specific arrangements for the re-election from five aspects: the guideline and basic principles, the scope and working procedures, the qualifications and conditions, and the schedule and relevant regulations.
During her speech, Mei Bing not only introduced the general requirements for and significance of the re-election, but also put forward specific suggestions to better handle this matter and build a more efficient medium-level leadership on campus. She also pointed out that the re-election is intended to serve ECNU’s new round of development, improve the efficiency of administration, and enhance construction of university leadership. The re-election, according to Mei, is vital to the overall development of ECNU.
