The School of Design holds a Sino-Italian International Workcamp.
A Sino-Italian International Workcamp held by ECNU School of Design in cooperation with the Department of Architecture of Sapienza University of Rome ended on May 20.
Four teachers and five undergraduates and postgraduates of the ECNU school joined four professors and seven Ph. D. students from the Italian school for the one-week workcamp themed “Urban and Village Renovation Design”.
The participants make a field trip to Xibin New Town.
During the week, the participants made a field trip to Xibin New Town in Youxi County, southeastern China's Fujian Province, a project undertaken by the ECNU School of Design. They held discussions with local government and residents on the renovation of the old Xibin Town.
The workcamp was part of the annual Sino-French-Italian International Workcamp on Urban and Village Renovation Design, which was the fourth this year.

In April, professors and postgraduates from the architecture school of France's Université Jean Monnet de Saint-étienne came to ECNU and conducted researches on the subject with their peers.
The research findings by the three schools will be made public at the 2016 Chinese Urban and Village Renovation Design Academic Annual Meeting, which is to be held in November by the ECNU School of Design.
