The Appointment Ceremony for New Members of the Special Committee of ECNU Academic Board is held.
New members of the Special Committee of ECNU Academic Board were appointed on December 15, 2015, when the members held their first meeting at the Teachers Center on Minhang campus.
The event was hosted by Chen Qun, Director of the Academic Board and President of the university. Members of the special committees, university leaders, president assistant, and department heads attended the event.
Vice President of the university Li Zhibin recalled the election process of the new special committees. Chen Qun announced the names of the committee members. Zhou Aoying and 28 other professors were elected new members of the diploma appraisal committee, Tan Fan and 34 other professors were elected members of the teaching committee. Ding Pingxing and the other 27 professors were elected as members of the scientific research committee. He Mingyuan and the other 28 professors were elected for the teacher’s committee, Chu Junhao and the other 17 professors were elected members of the school’s ethics committee. Tong Shijun presented appointment letters to the professors and took photos with each of them. Before the event, the university sent letters of acknowledgement signed by Tong Shijun and Chen Qun to different retired members.
On behalf of the Academic Board, Chen Qun reviewed work of the board and the special committees and announced plans for the board.
In his summary speech, Tong Shijun said the academic board was an important part of the ECNU administration, and an important carrier for a modern university system. Tong hoped that the academic board and the special committees could play even important roles in the university governance.
