Winners of the third Simian Original Academic Award.
The third Simian Original Academic Award was presented at Zhongbei campus on the morning of December 20, 2015, when a seminar was held to explore the engine of original research.
The awarding ceremony is held at ECNU.
The Simian Award was set up by ECNU to commemorate the great Prof. Lv Simian, who was a well-known historian. The award is granted to excellent works of social sciences in China. The seminar, with the theme of “Source of Original Research,” aims at exploring the most important engine of original academic research.
Winners of the award include five works by Fu Xuanzong, Mao Jianhai, Ge Zhaoguang, Zhang Shiying and Chen Lai.
On behalf of ECNU President Chen Qun, Wang Rongming, Vice President of ECNU, announced this year's winners of the third Simian Award. They included five great works by Fu Xuanzong, Mao Jianhai, Ge Zhaoguang, Zhang Shiying and Chen Lai.

Yan Shuang, Vice Director of the Publicity Department of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee and Party Chief of Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations, Liu Shijun,Vice Chairman of Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations, and Tong Shijun, ECNU University Council Chairman, presented the awards to winners, who then made keynote speeches on how to encourage original research.
