A ceremony is held at Siqun Hall to mark the beginning of the Alumni Day.
The 2015 Alumni Day of ECNU was held at Zhongshan Rd North campus on Oct. 6, on the eve of the university’s momentous 64th anniversary.
Nearly 1,000 alumni from 44 classes throughout the universities history attended the event. Most of them studied at the university between the years 1960 and 2010, and many of them brought family members for Alumni Day.
All the alumni spend a happy and wonderful day at their mother school.
At 9 a.m., a ceremony was held at Siqun Hall to mark the beginning of the Alumni Day. The ceremony was started by a welcome speech of Vice President Mei Bing. After sharing recent and new developments within the university and achievements of the Alumni Association, she thanked the alumni for their great support and deep love for the university. She also thanked the alumni for winning various honors for the university, all while wishing them a happy and wonderful day at their mother school.

After Mei’s speech, school representatives presented flags to the alumni. Alumni representatives recollected about their time here at ECNU, and expressed their best wishes to their mother school. Teachers thanked alumni for their contributions to the university, and invited them to come back often.
The Alumni Day includes various activities.
The day’s activities also included aerial group photos, a nostalgic school lunch, games, alumni passport, school museum, and classroom meetings. During the activities the alumni held happy conversations with their old schoolmates and teachers. Many alumni generously donated to the university’s charity foundations, giving help to needy students who are currently studying at ECNU.
