ECNU places 18th in China’s 2015 Nature Index

‍‍East China Normal University (ECNU) has again demonstrated great progress in the field of scientific research, having recently been named China's 18th-ranked institution. It has also been placed in the global top 200 by the prestigious Nature Index.

ECNU was one of the 24 Chinese universities to be placed in the top 200 group, which was part of a list recently released in association with the Nature Publishing Group. ECNU placed 148th this year, a great leap upwards from its previous ranking of 188th in 2014.

Nature Index rates institutions and countries according to the number and quality of research publications. The 2015 Nature Index examined and analyzed as many as 57,501 papers published in 68 top scientific journals between the dates of Jan.1, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2014.
