China-Germany Art and Design Education Center Established

On June 15, the unveiling ceremony for the China-Germany Art and Design Education Center was held at the fashion center of ECNU’s School of Design. Ren Youqun, Vice President and Vice Chairman of the University Council, Michael Fricke, Executive Vice President of Folkwang Universität der Künste, Yang Lin, Director of the Asia Center, as well as teachers and students from the School of Design, attended this ceremony. Wei Shao Nong, Dean of the School of Design, held the unveiling ceremony and gave a brief introduction to the new center.

The China-Germany Art and Design Education Center, an inter-school international communication center, is co-established by ECNU and Folkwang Universität der Künste. As one of the leading institutions in industrial innovation design (ranking 5th in Europe and 2nd in Germany) Folkwang Universität der Künste focuses on artistic innovation and industrial design, and pays close attention to cooperation with the art and design education in China.
