Recently, President Chen Qun attended the round table held to oversee the founding of the GAECSD (Global Alliance for Educational Change and Social Development) at the Hong Kong Institute of Education.
Members of the Alliance include such universities and academic organizations as East China Normal University, The Hong Kong Institute of Education, Beijing Normal University, National Taiwan Normal University, University College London, the University of Sydney, the University of Toronto, Nagoya University, the University of York, Vanderbilt University, Dongguk University, and the University of Malaya. The founding of this Alliance will provide a platform for its members to conduct cooperation and exchanges in all fields pertaining to education.
Chen attends the founding ceremony of the University's Hong Kong Alumni Association of Secondary School Principals.
While in Hong Kong, Chen also attended the founding ceremony of the University's Hong Kong Alumni Association of Secondary School Principals. In his speech, he reviewed the collaboration between ECNU and the educational circle in Hong Kong in recent years, and expressed his hope that the new association, together with the University's Alumni Association in Hong Kong, would become an important bridge to promote contact between the alumni and ECNU.
On behalf of ECNU, Chen signs an agreement with the Sun Wah Group in Hong Kong.
Chen also paid a visit a group that included Mr. Rao Zongxi, a master of Chinese culture; alumni of both ECNU and St. John's University in Hong Kong; members of the business community; and representatives for prominent organizations in Hong Kong. To better promote international Chinese education, Mr. Chen, on behalf of ECNU, signed an agreement with the Sun Wah Group in Hong Kong to indicate support of Chinese teaching and research programs in Vietnam.
