The intent of her visit was to provide guidance regarding preparations for the 19th International Conference on Magnetic Resonance and discuss her organization’s cooperation with ECNU.
Tong Shijun, Chairman of the University Council, met with Professor Goldfarb and briefed her on the history and character of higher education in China, as well as the development of ECNU. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Professor Goldfarb for her support of the 19th International Conference on Magnetic Resonance, and said that ECNU would make great efforts to prepare for the conference.
The 19th International Conference on Magnetic Resonance, hosted by ECNU, will be held in Shanghai from August 16th to August 21st. Goldfarb spoke highly of the work ECNU had undertaken for the upcoming conference and made a brief introduction of the higher education in Israel and the development of ISMAR.
Goldfarb gives a speech to students from the Department of Physics.
After the meeting, Goldfarb gave a speech to students from the Department of Physics entitled, “Application of DNP and Dynamic Transfer of Free Radical in Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR)”.
Daniella Goldfarb has received many international prizes, including the Bergman Prize in Chemistry, the International EPR Society Silver Medal for Chemistry, the International Zavoisky Award, and the Kolthoff Prize 2011/2012. An editor for many peer-reviewed international journals, Professor Goldfarb is also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Chairman of the Editorial Board of PCCP, and one of the most influential scholars in the field of EPR. Her main research is dedicated to the solving of basic problems in Biophysics and Structural Biology through the application of EPR.
