Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing Founded

 The unveiling ceremony of the Lab is held.

On March 7th, the unveiling ceremony of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing was held at the School of Information Science Technology on the Minhang Campus.

Academician Xue Yongqi and Academician Chu Junhao were appointed as director and vice director to the Academic Council of the Lab, respectively. The Council also includes Academician Mei Hong and Academician Tan Tieniu, two prestigious experts on information technology. At the ceremony, Wang Rongming, Vice President of ECNU, issued appointment letters to these four experts. Academician Xue Yongqi and Academician Chu Junhao also unveiled the official Lab plaque.

Last September, the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing was approved for founding by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality in order to meet the great need for development in Shanghai and the whole country. The lab will carry out innovative, cutting-edge research in the field of multidimensional information processing to provide theoretical and technological support for the development of the Cyber-Physical System, Smart City, and Smart Planet.
