On December 30, ECNU signed the Deepening Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Minhang Government at the Faculty Center on ECNU’s Minhang Campus, as part of the 10th Anniversary Ceremony for the Opening of ECNU’s Minhang Campus. Related leaders from the Minhang Government, Zizhu Hi-tech Park and ECNU, as well as experts who have greatly contributed to the development of the Minhang Campus, attended the ceremony.

Since the establishment of its Minhang Campus in 2001, ECNU has received continuous support from the Minhang Government and Zizhu Hi-tech Park. In January 2009, ECNU signed the Comprehensive Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Minhang Government and Zizhu Hi-tech Park. This agreement started the stable cooperation among these three parties. Since then, their mutually beneficial relationship has greatly boosted the development for all three parties and facilitated achievements in different aspects, such as making improvements in elementary education, technical innovation, cultural construction, community building and riverside construction, etc.

On behalf of both sides, Zhao Zhuping, Governor of the Minhang District, and Chen Qun, President of ECNU, signed the Deepening Cooperation Framework Agreement between ECNU and the Minhang Government. According to the agreement, 26 projects in five fields—including education, research, integrated service and human resources development—will be developed to further enhance cooperation between both sides.
Experts give suggestions on the next stage of the three parties' cooperation.

At the ceremony, participants recalled the early development of the Minhang campus and discussed the next stage of the three parties’ cooperation. Towards the end of the ceremony, Tong Shijun, Chairman of University Council of ECNU, presented two oil paintings to Zhao Qi, Head of CPC Minhang District Committee, and Shen Wen, President of Zizhu Hi-tech Park. These two paintings, which depict the sceneries at the Minhang Riverside and Zizhu Hi-tech Park, were created by ECNU teachers. The University sent these two paintings to the Minhang Government and Zihu Hi-tech Park to symbolize that the friendship among ECNU, the Minhang District and Zizhu Hi-tech Park would be as colorful and wonderful as the paintings.
