On Nov. 27, the customs show of the 8thInternational Culture Festival was held on Zhongbei Campus. ECNU’s students from over 36 countries and regions participated actively in the show which lasted for two days.

On behalf of the overseas students, Daukenov Zhasdauren from Kazakhstan addressed on the opening ceremony of the Festival. He expressed his expectations toward the Festival and his good wishes for the lasting friendship among China and other countries. Whereafter, students from various countries posed for photographs in their own national costumes. Li Yongkui, Vice Director of Global Education Center, announced the opening of the 8th International Culture Festival.
With good preparation and planning, participants of the custom show demonstrated what represented their cultures best to audiences in various ways including photo gallery, fashion show, language teaching, folk instruments playing, food tasting, impromptu folk dance, etc.

The customs show is a great opening of the Festival. On Dec. 5, the final competition of the Talent Show of ECNU ’s overseas students will be held in the University. The International Culture Festival is a festival for all ECNUers which not only provides chances for overseas students to show their talents but also builds a platform of communication and exchange for Chinese students and overseas students both inside and outside of the campus.
