ECNU Establishes International Chinese Language Teacher Alumni Association in America

ECNU International Chinese Language Teacher Alumni Association in America is established.

On Nov.11, ECNU International Chinese Language Teacher Alumni Association in America was established at Confucius Institute of The University of Texas at San Antonio. This is the second such association of the University since ECNU International Chinese Language Teacher Alumni Association in Switzerland was established in September.

Gao Wei delivers a speech on the the inaugural ceremony of the association.

Gao Wei, Assistant President of ECNU and Gu Lei, Deputy Director of Teaching Material Office of Confucius Institute Headquarters, attended the inaugural ceremony and gave speeches. John Fred, Academic Dean of The University of Texas at San Antonio also extended his congratulations for the association.  

 

Sun Chaofen will work as the first President of the Association.

 

Tang Li (Right) is appointed as the consultant to the association.

Sun Chaofen, Professor of Chinese in the Department of Asian Languages, Stanford University, was appointed as the first President of the American Alumni Association, and Tang Li, Professor of New York University, was appointed as the consultant to the association.

On the ceremony, Gao Wei presented a flag to the association and awarded appointment letters to members of the association council.
