The 9th Shanghai Youth Economists Forum was held on Nov. 16 in ECNU by ECNU’s China Center for Economic Research, School of Finance and Statistics and Editorial Department of Journal of East China Normal University (Philosophy). The topic in this year was “Comprehensively Deepen Reform and Upgrade China's Economy”.
Excellent paper winners are awarded on the forum.
Cao Wenze, Executive Vice Chairman of the University Council of ECNU introduced ECNU’s development on subject of economics and finance in his speech. Yin Desheng, Director of ECNU’s China Center for Economic Research reported the work of collecting and selection of excellent papers for the forum. According to Yin, 32 papers were awarded this year, including 2 first prize papers, 6 second prize papers, 10 third prize papers and 14 rising-star papers.
On the forum, representatives of excellent paper winners reported their studies, namely Wang Hen from Shanghai Normal University, Yang Lianxing from Renmin University of China, Ma Jing from South China Normal University as well as Wang Yuan from East China Normal University.
Shanghai Youth Economists Forum is a brand academic forum hold and sponsored by Shanghai Economists Association and The Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. It aims to boost the academic and intellectual communication between young economists and offer a platform for young economists to show their latest research achievements. This year, the Forum received more than 100 papers, which is the most numerous one in the history of the Forum since 2006.
