French-Chinese Conference on Green Chemistry Held

The Conference “French-Chinese conference on Green Chemistry, a better chemistry for a better life” (FC2GChem) was held on Nov.4-7 in ECNU.

The event is organized within the frame of France-Chine 50.    

The conference was organized under the auspices of the Joint Research Institute for Science and Society (JORISS) and with the help of the French Embassy in China and the French General Consulates in Shanghai. This event is organized within the frame of France-Chine 50 (www.france-chine50.com), the official celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationships between France and China, supervised by the Institut Francais (French Ministry of Foreign Affair and French Ministry of Culture and Communication).

Scholars from China and France delivers speeches on the conference.  

On the opening ceremony of the conference, Tong Shijun, Chairman of ECNU University Council, Academician He Mingyuan,Frederic Bretar, Consul for Science and Technology of French Consulate General in Shanghai, and Antoine Mynard, Director of Beijing Office of Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique delivered congratulation speeches respectively. More than 150 experts, scholars and students from France and China attended the ceremony.

The conference attracts many participants.  

The aim of FC2GChem is to highlight academic and industrial research and innovation in sustainable chemistry which is expected to bring both economic development and societal progress over the 21st century.
