Chinese Modern Fiction Chronicle Published

Chinese Modern Fiction Chronicle is published.

 

On June 22, the launch and publishing forum of Chinese Modern Fiction Chronicle was held in China Publishing Group Corporation in Beijing. Chinese Modern Fiction Chronicle, which has taken Prof. Chen Dakang of ECNU 14-year hard work, was published by People's Literature Publishing House.

 

Chinese Modern Fiction Chronicle is sponsored by National Social Science Fund, National Higher Education Committee of Ancient Books Collecting, and National Publishing Fund. The  Chronicle consists of 6 books with over 3,000,000 words. With rich materials and clear order, the  Chronicle provides a complete and informative introduction of Chinese modern fiction from 1840 to 1911.

 

The launch and publishing forum of Chinese Modern Fiction Chronicle is held.

 

Guan Shiguang, head of People's Literature Publishing House, Li Yan, Vice President of China Publishing Group Corporation, Yang Qingcun, deputy director of National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science, Xie Chao, Director of Publicity Department of ECNU, and over ten experts attended the forum.

On the forum,  Prof. Chen Dakang introduced the compiling process of the Chronicle.  Prof. Chen Pingyuan of Peking University, a famous expert in Chinese literature, sang high praise for Prof. Chen Dakang’s work and the chronicle itself. According to Prof. Chen Pingyuan, the  Chronicle will provide great help for scholars of Chinese literature as it includes such complete materials and information of Chinese modern fiction.
