The School of Design helds a big exhibition at 800 Show.
Mantis concept bicycles, intelligent cutting boards, bamboo pens made from wastes, touching picture books for blind children, E-phones for the aged… the well designed works of 10th Anniversary & 2014 Graduation Exhibition of ECNU’s School of Design was kicked off on June 5 at 800 Show, a famous art gallery on Changde Road.
The exhibition includes various eye-catching works.
This year is the ten anniversary of the School of Design. The exhibition held at 800 Show not only includes 157 pieces of works designed by 147 fresh college graduates but also some major works designed by students and teachers of the School of Design in the past ten years.
The exhibition is held on June 5-19 and is free to the public. The works exhibited at 800 Show were so attractive that it has attracted a large number of visitors from the city and nearly twenty works have been collected by some prestigious art galleries.

The School of Design was founded in September, 2004 on the base of the former Department of Design. During the past ten years, the school has made great achievement in talents training and discipline construction. Its “1+3” Talents Training Mode, which includes the classroom instruction, workshop training, visiting to overseas universities, and practice on real projects, has won the first prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievement Prize in 2013. During the past ten years, students of the school have completed many important design projects and won various prizes from home and abroad, for example, Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, and the renovation design for the old district of Lyon, etc.
