On February 22, the awarding ceremony of the 1st National Micro-video Contest of Primary and Secondary School Teachers and Pedagogical Students as well as the MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) Seminar was held by the International MOOCs Center at ECNU in the Science Hall at Zhongbei campus.

This contest was to further promote the adaptation of MOOCs in basic education. President Chen Qun and Vice President Guo Weilu attended the ceremony. Over 300 people including pedagogical students of normal universities, as well as teachers and principals of primary and secondary schools from all over the country attended the seminar.

Statistics show that the contest has accepted more than 1600 micro videos covering subjects like English, Maths, History, etc., and 112 works were awarded. At the ceremony, the International MOOCs Center at ECNU awarded the winners and 12 excellent organizational units of the contest.

On the seminar, Tian Aili, Deputy Director of the International MOOCs Center at ECNU exchanged ideas about the making of micro video with the participants, and Prof. Chen Yukun, Director of the International MOOCs Center at ECNU，made a special report on the construction of subject knowledge map and the MOOCs library.

It is reported that since its establishment in September 2013, the International MOOCs Center at ECNU has organized the C20 MOOCs Unions for primary schools, junior middle schools and senior middle schools in sequence. Many schools like No.2 Secondary School Attached to ECNU, Qi Bao Middle School have uploaded their courseware and teaching videos of excellent teachers with and shared with other schools.
