The University held the New Year Reception for Experts on Dec. 28, 2013 at Yifu Building on Zhongbei Campus.
Tong Shijun, Chairman of the University Council, more than 80 experts from home and abroad, and directors of relevant schools and departments attended the reception. Ren Youqun, Vice President & Vice Chairman of the University Council, hosted the reception.

Tong Shijun highly appreciated the important role that experts had been playing in the teaching and scientific research of ECNU in his warm speech. He extended thanks and the New Year’s greetings and blessings for all the experts and hoped they would continue their care and support for the development of the University and play a bigger role in their areas and positions.

At the reception, students and teachers from the Department of Music provided excellent performances for the experts. What’s more, the wonderful brass quintet played by short-term visiting foreign experts, professors from the Department of Music of University of Central Arkansas, USA, won warm applause from the participants of the reception.

Statistics show that ECNU attracted nearly 500 overseas experts to do teaching and scientific research in the University in 2013, and all the experts have made important contributions to the development of the University.
