In the bright moonlight of mid-autumn, Gala for Celebrating Founding of ECNU Alumni Association was held at Zhongbei Campus on Sep. 20, the second day after the Moon Festival, a traditional festival in China for family reunion.
On that special night, there was no seat left in the Auditorium of Zhongbei Campus as hundreds of alumni from various places gathered there. Heartwarming videos, dulcet music, nostalgic songs, dynamic dances and elegant poems, excellent performances of the gala brought all the audiences back to their past times and made them closer to ECNU, their beloved alma mater.
The gala is hosted by Zou Li, a Grade 2008 alumna of the School of Communication and a hostess of ERC's Dynamic Radio 101, and Wang Yao, a Grade 2009 alumnus of the School of Communication and an anchorman of Jiangsu TV.
With heartwarming videos and dulcet music of "Festival Overture" perfomed by students of the School of Music, the gala pulls its curtain.
To welcome the alumni, Chorus of ECNU senior professors sing two nostalgic Russian folk songs, Red Raspberry Flowers and Faithful Friends. The elegant songs make all the audiences recollect the days when they spent in ECNU. For most alumni, the alma mata is not only a place where they once worked hard to realize their dreams but also a place that witnessed their youth.
