On Sep.7th, more than 7100 new students from home and abroad began their life in ECNU. To make these new habitants adapt to their life in ECNU as soon as possible, the University prepared Green Growth Portfolios, Student's Handbooks and Freshmen Manuals in comic version which brought convenience and guide to these new students.

At either registration spot on both Zhongbei and Minhang campuses, a Green Channel was set on registration spot where poor students could get help from student loans to funding consultation. The Green Channel has been a tradition of ECNU registration day for years, aiming to resolve all the problems and worries of every new ECNUer who needs financial aids.

This year, the Green Channel not only provided “love gift bags” with daily necessities, but also created a Green Growth Portfolio for every student who used the Green Channel. The Green Growth Portfolios will keep records with students' part-time jobs, daily expense, academic records, trainings, etc. to make the University provide assistance the students in time.

For most new comers, everything is new and how to adapt to the new environment needs time. A cute gift may solve the problem. At the registration spot, every student could get a Freshmen Manual in comic version named “ECNU, I'm Coming”. Focusing a lovely girl student's life in ECNU, the manual can answer most new students’ questions about registration, education & credit system, safety in dormitory, medicare and how to ask for leave in the University. With vivid characters and useful contents, the manual became one of the most favorite necessities among the new students.

How to spend the university life meaningful has been a major question for most new students. To make every new student have a clear plan of their college life, the University provides every new student a well-designed Students' Handbook which not only introduces the University, but also provides detailed introduction and suggestion for students to their study and future career planning.
For most new comers, the first day is too busy to feel their new lives in ECNU. Don't worry, you will have enough time to know the university and you can find warm welcome and hospitality everywhere on campus because ECNU is a university of love.
