At the beginning of the new term, ECNU’s teacher trainees of 2010 Grade have registered in their practice schools and started the education internship. On Sept. 6, Vice President Guo Weilu paid a visit to students from ECNU in four normal education practice basis and had a conversation with these interns and leaders of the practice schools.

School leaders, including Principal Liu Guowei of Chendu 7th Middle School and Principal Zeng Chengbin of Sichuan Normal University Affiliated Middle School, introduced the arrangements for interns form ECNU, as well as their educational philosophy and teaching characteristics.
On behalf of ECNU, Guo Luwei extended sincere gratitude to each education practice base for their considerate arrangements and careful supervision for the interns. In his words, educational internship, as a significant part of normal university students’ cultivation, requires close cooperation and joint efforts between universities and middle schools. ECNU is willing to actively explore cooperation mechanism with practice basis to establish a mutually beneficial win-win work pattern.
This year, 1257 students of ECNU have taken part in their education internship in 126 education practice basis of 9 provinces and cities including 89 practice basis schools in Shanghai and 37 ones in Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Anhui, Xinjiang and Gansu.
To facilitate their intership, 263 students of Minghang Campus move to Zhongbei Campus.
Before the internship, practice basis schools have held a series of activities, including teaching skill training week and teaching skill competition to improve the interns’ basic teaching skills. During the internship, schools will organize specialized teachers and teachers of subject-based pedagogy to provide tour guide for the interns. As for ECNU, the School of Education Science and the School of Psychology will organize teachers to practice basis to provide educational and psychological help and guide for interns.
Starting at the beginning of September, the education internship of this year will last for a semester, and the practice of class teaching and teacher-in-charge work will end on November 30.
