On Aug. 25, ECNU inked a cooperation agreement with the Education Department of Hunan Province in Changsha. According to the agreement, both sides will make cooperation in the fields of talents training, technology innovation, training of teachers and disciplinary construction.

ECNU delegation led by Tong Shijun, Chairman of the University Council, Cao Wenze, Executive Vice Chairman of the University Council, and Vice President Guo Weilu visited Du Jiaha, an alumnus of ECNU and Governor & Deputy Communist Party Chief of Hunan Province, before the agreement signing ceremony.
Du welcomed the delegation. He said, as one of the most prestigious universities in China, ECNU is well-known for her cultivation of a large number of talents, especially excellent teachers, for the country. Du recalled his life in ECNU and expressed gratitude to ECNU, his alma mater.

Du was very glad of the University's achievement and development in recent years. He introduced the economic and social development of Hunan, and pointed out that both Hunan's education and ECNU would benefit from the cooperation between the University and the Education Department of Hunan. He hoped both sides would further exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and achieve common development in the future.
