On May 28, 14 African primary and secondary female principals and several Chinese principals and experts held a round table dialogue on basic education in ECNU, and discussed issues including teachers’ professional development, principals’ leading capacity, teaching quality assurance and assessment and curriculum revolution.
Shang Xiaohui, an official of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, awards the certificate for an African female principal.
According to ECNU’s International Center for Teacher Education, this round table dialogue was an important part of the Seminar for Primary and Secondary School Female Principals in English Speaking African Countries. After the dialogue, the closing ceremony of 2013 Seminar for Primary and Secondary School Female Principals in English Speaking African Countries was held, and all the 14 African female principals won certificates for their successful completion of the three–week seminar.
