On May 14, a visiting delegation lead by president of University of Victoria (UVic), Canada David Turpin was welcomed by University leaders Chen Qun, Ren Youqun, etc. The two sides renewed the student exchange agreement and academic cooperation memo between Schools of Commerce of the two universities. And they also exerted to expand cooperating areas including funding projects of visiting scholars from UVic and ECNU’s administrative staff studying in UVic.
The two sides spoke highly of the achievements made since the two universities set up partnership and they also agreed on furthering the cooperation in other subjects as well as expanding the scale of teacher and student exchanging project.
UVic is a comprehensive university set up in 1963 with business management, mechanic engineering, economics, etc. as the most renowned subjects among which law is the best. It is one of the six Canadian universities that are included in the global top 200 universities and one of the earliest to set up relationships with Chinese universities. In 1982, UVic established cooperative relations with ECNU.
