President Chen Qun attends 1st Meeting of EU-China HEPCE.
On April 24-25, President Chen Qun attended the 1st Meeting of EU-China Higher Education Platform for Cooperation and Exchanges (HEPCE) and serial events in Brussels, Belgium.
Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education, PRC and Directorate-General for Education and Culture of European Commission (DG-EAC), the event was the first meeting of the EU-China HEPCE, a flagship event in the framework of the high-level people-to-people dialogue established last year as the third pillar of the EU-China relations complementing the strategic dialogue and the economic and trade dialogue.
Dozens of presidents and representatives of Chinese and European universities were brought together on April 24 to share their success stories and concerns in establishing cooperation projects, so as to provide policy suggestions and enhance compatibility between the two countries' higher education systems.

President Chen Qun was invited to deliver a keynote speech entitled Partnerships across Borders: A Case Report of the ENS-ECNU Joint Graduate Program at the EU-CHINA University Presidents' Dialogue during 1st Meeting of EU-China HEPCE. With full and accurate information, President Chen's speech won great attention and applauds from the audience. In his speech, Chen made a detailed introduction that wefrom students’ selection, curriculum setting to scholarship awarding of the Sino-French program, which began more than ten years ago and has gained much achievement in the cooperation of students training and scientific research, and shared ECNU's experience of international exchanges with the participants.

Chen visits ULB.
During his stay in Belgium, Chen led the delegation of ECNU visited ULB and met ULB Rector Didier VIVIERS. Both sides discussed potential cooperated fields of scientific research, expressed willing to further enhance the students' international vision and cultural understanding with more international exchanges, and signed an agreement of students exchange between the two universities.
Later on the evening of April 25, Chen attended the reception for Chinese and Belgium university presidents and shared his experience and insights with the participants.
