After a series of procedures including the recommendation of the departments, self-recommendation and a final interview, 6 students and 2 groups won the “Touching ECNU 2012” award at the Commending Conference of May 4th as well as “Touching ECNU 2012” awarding ceremony held on May 2 due to their achievements in their study or social work.

Here is the brief introduction of some of the winners:
Dong Daijun, a senior from School of Information Science & Technology, although stuck to the wheelchair by hemophilia, always keeps optimistic and has obtained excellent performance in his studies and gained much friendship.
An Qilong, a junior from School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, has assisted to improve the education status of mountainous areas every summer and winter vacation in recent years..
Zhou Shiqin, a sophomore from School of Preschool & Special Education and head of a voluntary tutoring group, leads her group members to help improve the school work of children from poor families.
Xiong Zhichun, a second-year postgraduate from Department of Physics, has obtained many prizes including 2 patents, 3 national funds, 20 provincial and municipal awards, special award of national “Challenge Cup” Scientific and Technological Works Competition, gold award of “Challenge Cup” Business Plan Competition, etc.
Wu Xiaolong, a first-year postgraduate from School of Social Development, has made many famous network videos like “Crazy School Anniversary”, “Crazy Graduation” and is popular among students for his beautiful photos of ECNU campus scenery.
Apart from the individual winners, there are two group winners: the over 2000 volunteers of the university’s 60th anniversary and volunteers contributed to the earthquake stricken area Ya’an.
