Le Ke San Guan is under renovation.
On March 19, the comprehensive renovation of Li Ke San Guan in Zhongbei Campus finally started after long preparation and discussion since last June. The project will be finished in this July.
This is the first comprehensive renovation since Li Ke San Guan was constructed in 1954. During the past 60 years, the original appearance of the buildings has been poorly preserved, especially due to several large scales of inner redecorations. And an overall and sufficient maintenance is of great necessity for the buildings.
Besides the recovery of the original design of the buildings, the renovation will try to show the humanity and cultural value of these buildings as well as to improve its surrounding environment.

Li Ke San Guan (meaning Three Buildings of Sciences) refers to the three buildings around the university motto tablet on Zhongbei campus. With grand and traditional symmetrical style, Li Ke San Guan can be regarded as the most characteristic constructions in ECNU. With floor space of 12000 square meters, it was constructed in December 1954 as the teaching, administrative and research building for Department of Geography, Department of Physics, and Department of Biology. Being an important base for scientific research and teaching activities of ECNU, Li Ke San Guan has witnessed the prosperity and glory of generations of ECNUers.
