On October 15, New York University Shanghai, the first Sino-US joint venture university established by ECNU and New York University, is officially founded.
On October 16, the ceremony for resetting the monument of the campus removing of the Great China University, the predecessor of ECNU, at Minhang campus is held. People at the front role in the photo are specially invited alumni of the Great China University, as well as scholars, calligraphers and seal cutting masters contributing to the making of the stone tablet, a commemoration in memory of the special days when the Great China University had to move its campus from Shanghai to Guizhou Province from 1937-1945 because of the Japanese Invasion.
On November 2, singers from China Central Opera Theatre provide an elegant show of arts for ECNUers with their fantastic performances.
On November 9, ECNU-UBC Joint Research Core Group on China in Modern World is established.
On November 21, Job Fair for 2013 Graduates is held in ECNU.
On November 28, ECNU ranks first in the 8th Challenge Cup College Student Business Plan Competition with 2 golds and 1 silver, the best achievement the University has gained in the competition in history.
On December 20, Prof. Wang Jisi (R2) of Peking University is employed as the Chief Expert of the Research Center for Co-development with Neighboring Countries, a joint center of ECNU, Peking University (PKU) and Fudan University (Fudan) established in Beijing on September 20.
