UNT Delegation Visits ECNU

President Chen Qun met the visiting delegation of University of North Texas (UNT) led by President V. Lane Rawlins at Zhongbei Campus on November 27.

The aim of this visit was to renew the ECNU- UNT Agreement Memo signed in 2009 and to work out specific cooperative programs in life sciences and pedagogical techniques with ECNU. President V. Lane Rawlins fully affirmed the cooperation between the two universities in the past as well as in the future.

 During the meeting, a cooperative agreement was signed by delegates from ECNU and UNT in which an interactive network public class is stipulated and will be co-opened by ECNU’s School of Life Sciences and UNT’s Department of Biology, and a joint development of digital learning including supporting techniques for e-schoolbag and game learning programs is underway between UNT and ECNU’s College of Distance Education. Besides, exchange students program is also right at the corner.

UNT, the biggest public university in Texas with 36,000 students and 1,763 teaching staff, was established in 1890. Its education covers in 97 bachelor’s degree courses, 88 master’s degree courses and 40 doctoral courses. Its College of Music is the most famous musical college in the United States with jazz music education ranking first in America, and it owns world’s grandest drama therapy training equipment. What’s more, College of Visual Arts and Design is also quite known with many top majors including Environmental Ethics and Philosophy, Medical Librarian, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, etc.
