Tong Shijun, Watts, Jiang Hualiang and Zhong Dongping unveil the plaque of the center.
During November 15- 17, ECNU held the 1st Molecular Biophysics and Biophotonics International Symposium and the unveiling ceremony of Center for Laser and Computational Biophysics in State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy, ECNU.
Tong Shijun, Chairman of ECNU Council, Watts, Oxford professor and chairman of British Biophysical Society (BBS), Jiang Hualiang, researcher of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica(SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences and Zhong Dongping, professor of The Ohio State University unveiled the plaque of the center at its unveiling ceremony.
The newly established center comprises of several research groups as well as some international cooperative research groups in Computational Biophysics, Photosensitive Protein Structure Biology, Biological Macromolecular Laser Spectrum, etc.
The symposium gathered nearly 100 experts and scholars from the United States, Great Britain, France, Japan, Singapore, etc. and held about 20 forums on Molecular Biophysics, Molecular Biophotonics and so on. After discussion，the 2nd Molecular Biophysics and Biophotonics International Symposium as well as Sino-British Bilateral Molecular Biophysics Seminar were decided to be held in 2014 in ECNU.
