GHSU President Visits ECNU

To establish cooperative relationship with ECNU, a delegation led by President Ricardo Azziz of Georgia Health Sciences University (GHSU) from the United States visited ECNU on September 19. 

 

The delegation members also included GHSUs Vice President Roman M.Cibirka and Prof. Qian Zhuo (Joe Z. Tsien), co-director of GHSUs Brain and Behavior Discovery Institute.

 

ECNU President Chen Qun met with the delegation at North Zhongshan Road campus and had a talk with the guest. During the talk, Chen introduced the history, as well as disciplines and research development of ECNU, with a focus on its achievement  in  international cooperation and its efforts in the international promotion of Chinese.

 

After making a brief introduction of GHSU, President Azziz noted that GHSU had been attaching much importance to the cooperation wich Chinese universities and expressed willingness to make cooperation with ECNU in the fields of student exchanges, joint degrees program, Chinese learning, and etc..

 

Afterwards, the two universities signed a memorandum of understanding, and the delegation also visited ECNU’s Institute of Global Chinese Language Teacher Education.

 

Georgia Health Sciences University (GHSU), home of the Medical College of GeorgiaMCG), is a public academic health center with its main campus located in Southeast United States.It is one of four research universities in the University System of GeorgiaUSG). The Medical College of Georgia is the 13th-oldest continuously operating medical school in the United States and the third-oldest in the Southeast.
