Chen Qun Is Appointed President of ECNU

On July 2nd, Wang Liying, CPC member of Ministry of Education and leader of discipline inspection team announced the appointment and removal of Yu Lizhong as President of ECNU and appointed Chen Qun new President of ECNU. Yu Lizhong was dismissed the post of President of ECNU for the reason of age. Departments and bureaus concerned and leading comrades from Shanghai Municipal Party Committee concerned attended the announcement conference.

Chen Qun, male, was born in April 1964, nonpartisan and member of CPPCC. He started to engage in work since August 1991 and was graduated as doctor candidate from Radio Physics, ECNU (joint training program with Tokyo Institute of Technology) and became researcher ever since. He has been Vice President of ECNU since June 2003.
