Xu Jialu Arrives at Our University and Holds a Symposium with the Theme That “Chinese Culture Goes Out”

On February 18, Xu Jialu, the former vice chairman of National People's Congress Standing Committee and our director of Global Center for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, arrived at our university and supervised the work. Accompanied by secretary of ECNU Party Committee Tong Shijun and vice president Chen Qun, Xu visited the whole staff in the center. He then held a symposium with the theme that “Policies and Measures for the Going-out of Chinese Culture”, discussing the way out for Chinese culture with our experts and scholars in the field of literature, history and philosophy.
