International Symposum “New Cognition of the End of the Cold War, the Disintegration of the Soviet Union and Their Impacts on International Relations” Held


In this year, the 20th anniversary of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, from December 5 to 6, the international symposium “New Cognition of the End of the Cold War, the Disintegration of the Soviet Union and Their Impacts on International Relations” was held in our university. The vice secretary of ECNU Party Committee and vice president Lin Zaiyong and vice president Fan Jun attended the symposium. The chairman of Russian Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee Sergei Mironov, the director of Wilson International Center Cold War Program Christian Osterman, Professor Alan Lynch from University of Virginia, Professor Chen Jian from Cornell University, the director of ECNU Russian Studies Center Feng Shaolei, the director of International Cold War History Center Shen Zhihua and other famous scholars attended the conference. The secretary of Central Socialist College Party Group Professor Ye Xiaowen attended the conference and delivered a speech as a specially invited guest.
