ECNU Holds International Symposium on“Translation and the Teaching of Translation in the Context of Globalization”

The two-day’s international symposium on“Translation and the Teaching of Translation in the Context of Globalization” was started in our university on Novermber 25. The symposium was jointly organized by East China Normal University, China Translation Association’s Translation and Translation Teaching Supervision Committee and undertaken by our International College of Chinese Studies and the journal Foreign Language Learning Theory and Practice. Hundreds of famous scholars in the field of translation home and abroad attended the symposium, including Professor Jeremy Munday from British Leeds University, Professor Luo Xuanmin from Tsinghua University, Professor Feng Dongning from Salford, Professor Xu Jun from Nanjing University, Professor Pan Wenguo from our International College of Chinese Studies and Professor Zhang Chunbai, dean of Foreign Language Department. They jointly discussed on the translation theory and teaching .
