The First Si-Mian Festival of Ideas for Humanities Opened

On October 10, sponsored by the Si-mian Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities, the First Si-Mian Festival of Ideas for Humanities --Ideas Change the World; Humanities Cultivate the Mind was opened in the lecture hall of the Campus Center in Minhang Campus. The university Party secretary Tong Shijun delivered the opening speech. The Si-mian Institute executive vice dean, History School professor Xu Jilin presided over the opening ceremony. Present were the well-known cultural critic, Phoenix Television anchor Liang Wendao, distinguished scholar, associate researcher fellow of the Researcher Center for Humanities and Social Sciences in Academia Sinica, Taiwan Sechin Yeong-Shyang Chien and other guests.
