ECNU 2011 Opening Ceremony for Overseas Students Held

On the morning of September 15, ECNU 2011 opening ceremony for overseas students was held in Science Hall in North Zhongshan Road campus. The vice president Chen Qun attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Huang Meixu, director of international education center and vice director of international exchange office, presided the ceremony.

This Autumn, more than 1300 overseas students were newly recruited in our university, including more than 400 degree students. With the support and efforts of Dean’s office, graduate school and departments, in recent years, the scale of overseas degree students in our university has been largely increased. The level and structure of the group of overseas students have been greatly improved, too. According to statistics, in 2011, the scale of overseas students in our university has ranked second among universities in Shanghai.
